EXECUTIVE SIMULATION LAB

A facilitator leading an interactive workshop with a diverse group of professionals in a modern training room.

Your team does not need another presentation.

It needs a situation that reveals how people actually think, communicate and decide under pressure.

The Executive Simulation Lab transforms the ideas explored in the MBA Lab into a live, immersive learning experience.

Participants face realistic business situations, make decisions with incomplete information, negotiate with different personalities and manage the consequences of their choices.

They do not simply learn about leadership and negotiation.

They practise them.

ONE DAY. REAL DECISIONS. VISIBLE BEHAVIOURS.

WHEN THEORY MEETS REALITY

In a traditional workshop, participants discuss what good leaders and negotiators should do.

In a simulation, they discover what they actually do.

How do they react when information is incomplete?

Do they listen before trying to convince?

Can they adapt their communication style?

Do they create value—or simply defend their position?

Do they know when to make a concession and when to walk away?

The Executive Simulation Lab makes these behaviours visible, creating the conditions for meaningful individual and collective learning.

A LIVE BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

Participants work through a sequence of realistic management and negotiation challenges.

Each situation introduces new information, constraints and interpersonal dynamics.

They must analyse the context, choose a strategy, communicate their position and respond to the decisions made by others.

The simulations are followed by structured behavioural debriefs connecting experience with practical frameworks.

EXPERIENCE → REFLECT → UNDERSTAND → APPLY

WHAT PARTICIPANTS EXPLORE

SELF-AWARENESS

Recognise the emotions, assumptions and behavioural preferences influencing decisions.

COMMUNICATION

Understand how the same message can be interpreted differently across personalities and cultures.

NEGOTIATION

Prepare effectively, identify interests, create options, manage concessions and protect alternatives.

CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE

Recognise how expectations concerning trust, hierarchy, time, disagreement and contracts may vary.

COLLECTIVE DECISION-MAKING

Observe how teams share information, challenge assumptions and reach decisions under pressure.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE LAB?

1. THE BRIEF

Participants receive a realistic business situation, objectives and confidential information.

2. THE PREPARATION

Individuals or teams analyse their priorities, risks, alternatives and negotiation strategy.

3. THE SIMULATION

Participants negotiate, decide and adapt as the situation evolves.

4. THE DEBRIEF

The group examines what happened not only the final result, but the behaviours and assumptions that shaped it.

5. THE TRANSFER

Participants identify practical lessons they can apply to their own management and business situations.

THE OUTCOME

By the end of the Executive Simulation Lab, participants will be better able to:

  • distinguish facts from interpretations;
  • recognise their behavioural impact on others;
  • prepare negotiations with greater discipline;
  • ask better questions before proposing solutions;
  • adapt their communication across cultures and personalities;
  • manage concessions without unnecessarily giving away value;
  • identify decision-makers and decision processes;
  • remain capable of walking away from a poor agreement;
  • turn reflection into practical action.

DESIGNED FOR

The Executive Simulation Lab can be adapted for:

  • executive and management teams;
  • international or cross-functional teams;
  • business development and sales teams;
  • project and transformation leaders;
  • MBA and Executive Education participants;
  • organisations preparing for a critical negotiation or strategic decision.

No acting experience or specialist knowledge is required.

Participants simply need to engage, decide and remain curious about what their choices reveal.

ONE LAB. DIFFERENT BUSINESS REALITIES.

The scenarios can be adapted to the organisation’s context and objectives.

Possible themes include:

  • international business negotiation;
  • supplier and customer relationships;
  • partnership and alliance building;
  • internal stakeholder alignment;
  • cross-cultural communication;
  • leadership under pressure;
  • difficult conversations;
  • strategic decision-making;
  • preparation for a critical deal.

The objective is not to reproduce a confidential negotiation.

It is to create a safe environment in which teams can test behaviours before the stakes become real.

NOT A ROLE-PLAY FOR THE SAKE OF ROLE-PLAY

Every simulation is connected to a clear business objective.

The value does not come from performing a character.

It comes from observing how participants:

  • interpret information;
  • frame problems;
  • manage uncertainty;
  • use power;
  • build trust;
  • handle disagreement;
  • make decisions.

The debrief transforms these observations into practical lessons.

DESIGNED BY A PRACTITIONER

Created by Pierre Perdriaud, entrepreneur and executive educator, the Lab connects proven management frameworks with real-world leadership and negotiation experience.

It is delivered in collaboration with Executive Education institutions and professional training partners.
