Zen & export

How can you understand others if you don’t know yourself?

To export, to travel the world, is to get to know others and finally to discover yourself. It is to be awake.

If you spend your time chasing around the world a goal that is not yours, “external”, you will never get what you are looking for and lose yourself. You have to achieve something deep within yourself to be effective. For this you must know yourself and stay awake.

Reconciling dynamism and serenity

In the modern economy where speed is a factor of survival, is it possible to be everywhere all the time, to achieve ever more demanding objectives and to remain serene and calm ? Yes. How ?

By combining these two requirements, dynamism and serenity, into one single element.
Starting from the premise that our time and our capacities are limited and accepting it as such. After all, we are only simple men and women after all.

“The one who is agitated does not know how to do. The one who knows how to do doesn’t get agitated.» Feng Meng Long

Fight against yourself

Beginners imposed on themself an endless list of actions ans tasks to be achieved before realizing that this technique, however useful, is ineffective. Why ?

We simply do not have time to carry out all our projects and all at the same time. Some projects are more important or more urgent. Not being able to even start certain tasks was a source of stress and guilt.

Today, every morning I make a list by hand of the tasks that I have to do for the day and that I am sure I can complete. You have to learn to control your ego and your ambitions and give yourself achievable goals which, once achieved, cultivate our self-confidence and our happiness.

Faced with the challenges of our position in the international development of our companies, we can focus on two things:
1- Make our instinctive and objective selection of the tasks to be carried out.
2- Act simply.

International Business Lesson

Rule N°1: Choose a country.
Rule N°2: Go into the country.

End of the lesson

Efficient export means freely behaving in your environment and banishing judgement, without discrimination. You have to be able to discover your own personality, work on it and reach a level of non-ego. We can merge with humanity, harmonize with nature and with men and women whoever they are.

It is the “No overthinking, no thought”. Everything is osmosis in the universe. It is awareness beyond bundaries.

Let go

To achieve this degree of efficiency, simplify your tasks, limit your actions, streamline your processes. The paradox is being able to do more with less. How to get more results with less effort ?

Thanks to this freedom of movement, work more serenely, with care, on your new priorities with efficiency and speed.

Focus your mind

Forget the past, it is behind you. Every day that passes is a day lost. Do not let yourself be distracted or disturbed by too many solicitations. Be fully aware of what you are achieving as you are building your future here and now, in everything you do. Simply.

When tasting a foreign recipe, focus on flavors and taste!
When you read, live, analyze and retain the information!
When you travel, appreciate the beauty of the landscapes and the world!
When you write an email, write it with inspiration and originality!

The path to efficiency and serenity is a work of every moment. Focus your mind only to what you are doing here and now. Only one thing at a time, in full consciousness, with determination.

Thus, you will complete your tasks one after the other with great satisfaction for the quality of your work and your involvement. Commit yourself 100%, work with meticulousness and ingenuity.

Breathe

Learn to shut-off the thread of thoughts running through your mind. The constant movement of your worries stresses you out. Breathe, focus on what you have decided to achieve straight away. Not about what might happen tomorrow or what happened yesterday.

Let the thoughts flow through your head like clouds cross the sky. You can be serene, if the weather is shady, the good weather always comes back. After dark, day breaks…

During your business trips, by focusing your mind on what you are doing, on “yourself”, paradoxically, you become more aware of the world around you. The simple and surprising things you discover abroad make the quality of a life. And the moments shared with your contacts from another culture than yours contribute to your happiness, aware of the beauty and kindness of the people who inhabit the same planet as us.

“Yesterday, I was clever and wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” Rumi
