To build a world-class business, you have to believe in an idea that offers something absolutely unique that will transform your market. To reach your potential, change the way you look at things and the world, your state of mind and open your heart.
We are indeed unconscious victims of optical illusions and difference of perception which are not the result of a failing vision but of our prejudices, heritage of our culture, our customs, our habits and our experience.
It is the brain that makes mistakes and deceives us.
Obstacles resulting from the large volume of information, particularly visual information, that we have to process every day prevent us from seeing the world. Individuals do not perceive reality in the same way and are unaware of this difference. It is due to subjective physiological and psychological factors.
We process and classify relevant stimuli into categories that suit us, then ignore the rest.
We develop tunnel vision, which allows us to see our path clearly
This tunnel vision prevents us from perceiving the world around us. We learn valuable life lessons while traveling because they make us aware of the nature of our biases.
We must be attentive to changes in the world and to cultural differences. Each country, each market, has its own specificities.
Exporting means identifying opportunities related to a technology or service that does not exist in a part of the world and bringing its know-how to it. By changing our view of the world, we benefit from unexpected perspectives.
Deconditioning
We actually perceive only a very small part of reality. We impose imaginary constraints on ourselves. To find the solution, you have to think outside the box. Reality as we perceive it is filtered mainly by our emotions.
We must break the filter of our emotions that keep us away from all the wealth in the world.
This is the first approach we give when we talk about international trade.
Why are long journeys different?
Thanks to our jobs related to international trade, we have become digital nomads. Thus, we sometimes share articles related to our travel experience. Our goal is to try to inspire those who would like to take a leap and discover new horizons. We believe that everyone should at least have such an experience in their lifetime!
This is really where all the riches of travel really come into their own. A trip of more than several months allows you to really tear yourself away from everyday life and your original culture, at least for a certain period of time. And then, this is where the word freedom really takes on its meaning. In fact, it’s a bit like being a brick that momentarily comes out of the wall of your company.
What stops people from traveling?
Security and fear of the unknown are the second most common causes that keep people from traveling after money and time. It is true that for many, travel safety is an issue. In any case, it can be apprehensive and an obstacle to discovering certain destinations or traveling alone. For some, this fear prevents them from fully enjoying their trip and limits them in what they can do there. Also, it’s a shame…
How to travel more safely?
There are three main pillars in travel safety: knowledge, techniques to know and the psychological aspect. Any traveler, experienced or not, will discover essential things there: how to surf the net safely, the essential accessories for travellers, traveling safely with their laptop or photo equipment, how to deal with an aggressive person or dog, the moments where we find ourselves in a position of vulnerability, mistrust and feelings, positive or negative intuitions…
To travel is not to become paranoid. It is a question here of acquiring knowledge and techniques which then quickly become reflexes. And this is where you fully enjoy a stress-free trip!
“My dream would be a multicultural society, one that is diverse and where every man, woman and child are treated equally. I dream of a world where all the people of all races work together in harmony.”
Nelson Mandela
